FBLA Qualifier Competition

The East HS FBLA team recently competed in the state qualifier. Out of 34 students who participated, 16 qualified for the state competition.

PennDOT Paint the Plow Winner

East HS was named the District 5 regional winner in the PennDOT Paint the Plow Safety Outreach Contest!

Science Olympiad Virtual Competition

Recently, the East HS Science Olympiad teams competed in the Dick Smith Memorial Virtual Competition. The following teams placed in the top 10:

Experimental Design (9th): Seniors Mahi Patel, Samantha Christman, and Kailey Clifford.

Designer Genes (10th): Juniors Finn McGovern and Andy Zheng.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy

As part of their Do Good December project, the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, with some help from Peer Support, collected and wrapped gifts for 20 EHS students.

Leo Club Toy Adaptation

The Leo Club has been working on adapting 21 toys for students in Monroe County. The recipients of these adapted toys are children with a physical disability, making typical toys inaccessible to them. Leo club students took apart toys, rewired them, and made them accessible with an external switch.

Chick-fil-A Book Giveaway

As part of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy's annual Million Book Giveaway, students from East HS distributed 590 books to 1st grade students at SEC. 

Speech & Debate Districts Team

Congratulations to the East HS Speech & Debate team, who made districts. They will be competing on Tuesday, December 2 at Nazareth High School. Pictured: Daniel Cunningham, Robert Cunningham, Ryan Sanon and Matthew Doughty.

Puzzle Palooza Winners!

7 teams recently competed in Puzzle Palooza to see who could put together a 500 piece puzzle the fastest. The winning team, at 1 hour and 27 minutes, was Ms. Doll, Mrs. Santiago, Mrs. Newlander-Jones and Mrs. Allshouse.

District X Chorus Festival

Congratulations to Declan Angulo, Laila Peña, Julian Rivera, and Alexander Williams on their acceptance into the District X Chorus Festival. Over 700 choral students competed for a spot in their section, in which they only accepted the top 27 students in each section.
