Pocono Mountain East High School
Pocono Mountain East High School is located in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania, and is situated on the Pocono Mountain School District’s Swiftwater Campus. Municipalities that comprise the EAST side of the district include the townships of Jackson, Pocono, Paradise and Barrett and the Borough of Mount Pocono. Approximately 1,100 students attend East High School, grades 9-12.
In order to graduate, all students must earn a minimum of 22 credits.

*Please note: MCTI students earn 3 credits for each successful year of completion.
Additionally, all students must demonstrate proficiency in math and reading through the Keystone Assessments or follow the local Pathways to Proficiency program. Students also have the option to attend the Monroe County Technical Institute (MCTI) for a portion of the school day.
Course grading is done on a percentage scale from 0% - 100% with a minimum passing grade of 65%. Students may select from Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, Academic, or Applied course offerings. AP and Honors grades are weighted for GPA purposes only with +4% and +2%, respectively.
